Companion files360 video is recorded as INSV and 360 photos as INSP; DNG is also supported for photos. Preserve original capture files and their metadata until the intended export is complete; do not substitute single-lens MP4 for a 360 workflow. The v1.0 manual does not describe a required paired-file workflow. Keep the original camera files together on the SD card or after copying them to a computer until the intended export is complete.
Documented workflowUse the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio to transfer, reframe and export 360 originals into the equirectangular delivery file required by Mirame360. Single-lens MP4 is a separate flat-video workflow.MAX2 records spherical footage in 360 mode and single-lens footage separately. GoPro's manual directs users to Quik for reframing 360 footage into shareable traditional videos; save media to a computer with an SD-card reader and export the 360 delivery file required by Mirame360.
